just showing off one of my army helicopters seen here by the dozens here at fort rucker.
this machine is a century/funkey 50 size jetranger fuselage with century hawk mechs i electrified.
sprayed from a rattle can and clearcoated with automotive clearcoat. the motor is a century 800kv and a turnegy esc running on 5s lipo
blades are maveric pros 600mm
i flipped the tail on the hawk mechs and re worked the tail housing on the fuse's tail to acomodate the change. the gearbox was also modified with the metal gear conversion to keep the rotation of the t/r blades in the scale direction.
it has full nav and strobe lights and a cockpit is in the somewhat distant future. i have had this machine built and painted for bout a year now but it never saw much dayligt. i recently converted from nitro to electric since i had a motor and speed control that i got cheap i retained the clutch of course and spoolups are awsome sounding though a little vibration in the adaptor shaft makes it sound a little wierd. fixing that soon though.

Very nice Emile!
I have a couple of Electrified Shuttles that I want to put into scale bodies.I even have a hollow Bell 222 just waiting.I just have to get off my butt and do it.Retaining the clutch is a must as they sound very realistic during spool up. |

sounds lke you have projects waiting on ya
yes, converting a gas/nitro machine is the way to go for a scaler.
converting an already electric is a little tougher but not impossible. |
