I'm a rookie heli pilot and have not yet tried yo fly in idle up mode just normal mode and was wondering if someone could recommend throttle and pitch curves for a newb pilot. I am flying a blade 400 more or less in stock form.

Where are you located? If in our area I suggest to jut come to the field to look at your setup.
Issue with throttle curve always is that every heli might run slidely different head speed (based on motor pinion ...). So make sure you get decent head speed at mid stick and go all the way up from there with the rest of the curve (I start with zero at low stick and get it to about 75-85% at mid stick depending on the heli and move all the way up to 100% at full throttle).
Pitch I setup so it is between -3 to -5 at low stick, 0 pitch at mid stick and than increase to about +10 at full stick. You have to use a pitch gauge to measure this. Again each heli can be different.

OK here are 2 pictures to give you a bit of an idea how my normal curves are setup for throttle and pitch.
I now use a JR9503 but on your radio it should be somehow similar.

Simply set your idle up pitch and throttle curves
to "mirror" your normal mode from mid stick

If this is not clear to you, I'd suggest finding local help
